3.1 Creating a new macro

  1. Select either

    Edit > Create New VB Macro…

    or

    the Run VB Macro tool and then click Create New in the Macro dialog.

    The Select New Macro File Name dialog opens.

  2. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the new macro file.

  3. Specify a File name.

  4. (Optional) In the Save as type drop-down menu, select to use a plain text macro (file extension .vbs) or a protected macro (file extension .vbz).

  5. (Optional) Provide a brief description in the Description of Macro text box.

  6. Click New to create the macro file.

    The macro design window opens with the empty VB macro open.
